We visited this restaurant on a Sunday evening and decided to try a variety of dishes. We ordered the Tassot (grilled goat), Griot (fried pork), wings, fried catfish, and oxtail penne pasta. Every dish was cooked perfectly—especially the goat and pork, which were surprisingly tender and flavorful. The wings could’ve used a bit more seasoning or spice, but they were still enjoyable. We also tried the lychee and Don cocktails, which were absolutely delicious and appropriately strong—we liked them so much we each had two rounds. Despite the bartender being very busy, the drinks remained consistently well-made and tasty. I did have slight food envy seeing the mac and cheese at another table and regretted not ordering it—it looked incredible. Although we’re not from the area, we wanted to try something new, and we’re so glad we did. The portion sizes were generous, and everything was satisfying. A few areas for improvement: based on personal preference, we would’ve liked a touch more salt in some of the dishes. Also, while we’re from Brooklyn and don’t mind a more direct or no-frills style of service, a bit more friendliness from the staff could go a long way—others might appreciate a warmer interaction. Overall, I would definitely return.
The hookah was good , was $50 though and $35 for a refill but we had someone who hooked us up. If you like spicy food I would suggest the buffalo wings. The drinks were superrrrr good. To be my first time I was impressed, place was a vibe, Dj was on point he played all type of music (love it ). The staff was friendly and the food was on point. First time trying black rice and it was good. Definetely coming back
I fell in love with this place from the first time my sister invited me there cause she actually work there. And then I took my friend there for her birthday she enjoyed her birthday the food, drinks, and the hookah we didn’t even know how we got home cause the drinks was amazing aorudn that time our server name was Stephanie she was so nice and got our food to us so fast and make sure we as okay the whole night.. I’m so happy to be part of them and working for them . I’ll recommend anybody there great vibes and good energy. From the owner to the staffs is great. I love it there..
